FB Game: Times are to the left. Wind and percussionists will be wearing uniforms! Guard students will wear black leggings, show shirts, and show shoes We will be departing after halftime as the comp band students have a competition to attend. As such, there will be no third quarter break. Students should bring snacks for the ride home, and comp band students will be given a break to eat when we return to East.

Competition Day: This weekend’s competition is at Brick Memorial HS, located at 2001 Lanes Mill Rd in Brick Township. Times are to the left. Students will be given a break after our morning rehearsal to eat/prepare for the football game, and will be given a break to eat/prepare for the competition after we arrive back at East. After we perform at Brick Memorial, students will change into jeans and show shirts – these will need to be brought to the competition! Students should also bring food/money to purchase food for after our performance.

Competition Tickets: Tickets for the competition at Brick Memorial are available for sale through Miss Sanford. If you are planning on attending, PLEASE purchase your tickets through Miss Sanford!! By doing so, the proceeds of your ticket sale will go to our band, instead of Brick Memorial’s band. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for students. Tickets will be available after rehearsal on Thursday, and during breaks on Saturday.

TOB All Star Marching Band: All competitive band students are eligible to participate in the TOB All Star Marching Band, which marches in the 6ABC Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade. To register, visit: https://www.njatob.org/events/tob-all-star-band/tob-asmb-info. There is a financial obligation, and you will need to rehearse prior to the event as you will be representing our school. Please do not register if you cannot pay or commit to rehearsing the music!!

TOB Scholarship: All senior competitive band students are eligible to apply for the TOB scholarship which is awarded at ACC’s. To fill out the scholarship, visit: https://form.jotform.com/njatob/2017-tob-scholarship-form

Disney: Disney deposits and forms are due 10/1 at the Raider Brigade meeting scheduled for next Tues, 10/1! Any parents or family members who would like to travel with us should also turn in a $250 deposit, however prices for any non-band student travelers are most likely going to be higher than noted on the deposit paperwork.

Raider Brigade Meeting: Our next meeting is this upcoming Tues, October 1st at 7:30pm in the chorus room. We need parent/guardians to attend this meeting, as the success of our home competition is dependent upon volunteer involvement! Please make every effort to attend, and if you are unable to attend but can help out on October 5th for our home competition, please reach out to a Raider Brigade eboard member or Miss Sanford!

-Band students should be signed up for their Google Classrooms! Ask a student leader for the codes if you need them!
-Mums will be available for pickup around 5pm this Thursday in the senior parking lot!
